Do I need a Twilio account?
Yes — Relay uses Twilio to send and receive SMS. You'll need a Twilio account (free to create) with a phone number. Kawco walks you through the setup. SMS costs are billed directly by Twilio, typically $0.07–$0.10 per message.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
In most cases yes — if your number is already on Twilio or can be ported to Twilio. We'll advise you on the best path during onboarding.
How long does setup take?
Most customers are live within one business day. Kawco handles the Teams app deployment and configuration — you just need to provide your Microsoft 365 tenant ID and Twilio credentials.
Does my whole team see every message?
Yes — Relay is a shared inbox. Any staff member with the Teams app installed can see and reply to conversations. This is by design — it keeps your whole team across customer communications.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Month-to-month with no lock-in. Just let us know and we'll close out your account. Your Twilio number and history remain yours.
